Deni1080 Your thyroid results are very good and indicate that you are on a suitable dose, TSH is where it is recommended to be (1 or below) for FT4 to be in the upper third of the range (yours is 84% through range). Do you feel optimally medicated thyroid wise?
You mentioned in your previous post about joint aches, fatigue and brain fog. You should ask for Vit D, B12, ferritin and folate to be tested as these symptoms could be caused by low levels of some of these vitamins and minerals. All need to be optimal for thyroid hormone to do it's job properly. If your GP wont do the tests then you can get them done through an at home fingerprick test from Blue Horizon. Make a new post with results of these tests, plus reference ranges, and members can advise of any deficiencies and suggest supplements if necessary.
The weight gain could possibly be due to your HRT although there are differing opinions about whether HRT causes weight gain. Maybe the brand doesn't suit you and it might be worth trying a different one.
They're good as far as they go. But, do you know if you're converting your T4 to T3? To know that, you would have to have your FT4 and FT3 tested at the same time.
NO I'M NOT SURE IF I AM , I HAVE A DR APPOINTMENT ON WED AND WILL ASK FOR ANOTHER BLOOD TEST , I WILL ASK IF THEY CAN TEST FT4 & FT3 AS WELL
THANK.YOU
Deni,
Your results look good on paper but it is possible to have good T4 & TSH results but still be hypothyroid.
You need to have T3 tested as this is the bioactive hormone that will give you well being.
Doctors do not usually test T3 so members use private labs - link below.
