Hiya.

I'm thinking of ordering this test so I don't have to schlep off to town to have the blood taken. Will the ferritin result tell me if I need iron supplements? (Tbh it's something I've never understood, why you need a test for iron and ferritin.)

Yes, the ferritin test shows stored iron and is a good indicator of whether u need supps, though it may be raised if you have current inflammation. Go for it.

One of the sites I've used. However as it's from the US some units are difference.
