I recently had a thyroid lobectomy, right lobe, and am on day 4 post op. I am doing ok, but have numbness in my face, hands, feet. I went into the hospital and had my calcium levels checked on day 2 post op, and they were fine.
Is this a normal feeling to have after thyroid surgery?
I am also experiencing hot/cold flashes and internal tremors.
Any advice?

Those symptoms are typical of low calcium due to loss or bruising of parathyroid glands. I had similar symptoms after completion thyroidectomy but wasn't well enough to collect a prescription for calcium. Calcium levels righted themselves after a week. Maybe hang on until your stitches are removed and ask for another calcium test if symptoms haven't resolved.
I didn't experience the hot/cold flashes and internal tremors. They may be a post-op reaction and will hopefully improve when all the anaesthetic has cleared your system.
Nitrous oxide in general anaesthetic can interfere with B12 levels. It may help to supplement high dose B12 for a few weeks.
You should take it easy and rest for a couple of weeks.

Ok, I will take the methyl b12 and see how that goes. As for the propranolol, I am only taking 7.5mg 3 times a day, which is very low. I will cut it down to 5mg.
I am very sensitive to meds and it doesn't take much to affect me.
I'm hoping for a quick recovery as well, no thyroid hormone was prescribed, as the ENT thinks that the remaining 60% will function well, once it kicks into gear.
