Hi all I'm new here just need some advice please had under active thyroid for 15 yr I seem to be gtn more exhausted insomnia painful joints I'm on 300mg thyroxine already

You probably aren't converting the levothyroxine if you are on that dosage. I would get some private tests including Free T4 and free T3, reverse T3 and folate, ferritin, vitamin D and B12. You can get tests from Blue Horizon or Genova (listed on thyroiduk site). And you may need to try T3 medication or NDT.

It will help members advise if you can post your recent thyroid results with ranges (figures in brackets after results) and results and ranges for ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate if tested.

That doesn't mean you don't have a problem. Doctors idea of normal isn't necessarily what we need. You need copies of your results and post them for comments in a new post
