Hi, does anyone know of a good pill cutter please? Most on amazon have bad reviews... My 20m t3 is so tiny I wonder if cutting it is possible... 😊

ScorpioJo,

I use a Pillmate cutter bought from a high street pharmacy. No problem at all cutting a 20mcg tablet when I line up the tablet score line with the line on the pillcutter and push the lid down slowly and firmly.

oh, I did see that on Amazon Clutter around £6 will get both of your suggestions as Kleeneasy put books out now and again.. I'm sure my neighbours friend is an agent... Thanks both 😊

I have the 25mcg tablets and manage to cut them into four quite easily.

I got this pill cutter from my local pharmacy amazon.co.uk/Safe-Sound-Pil...

Once the tablets are cut in half I put one half back into the groove, round side to the pointy end of the V shape, and find that a very light touch when bringing the blade down works best. When the tablet has been cut tap out any powder or tiny crumbs that may be in the cutter before cutting the next.

I don't get an absolute perfect quarter every time but I haven't had any crumble and I've not had to waste any.

Not sure how much smaller the 20mcg tablets are but possibly not that much difference.

I think I wouldn't bother with the 20m t3 in quarters... Your eyesight would fail quicker than your thyroid packed in altogether 😊... But the one's from Greece are bigger even though 25m.. Thanks for all your help that's my job tomorrow to hit the pharmacy and also order if I can't get any in the shops...

If you don't mind a wait of 10-14 days, you can get one from Hong Kong for 99 pence:

-- though I prefer the Safe+Sound recommended by SeasideSusie, which has no detents to lock it shut, which seems to make it work more smoothly.

It's ok I'm going to go to Superdrug tomorrow... It's a reason to go out... That's a bonus a push for me.. Thanks though x
