I’ve checked on Amazon but they all look the same. Any particular brand?

Any recommendations for a decent pill cutter please
This is the one I have and find it fine

I got mine at the local pharmacy.
Or consider a sharp craft knife which some people prefer (not me)
Thank you thyroidnodules
This is the one I use. It is great for cutting and storing my little beta blocker tabs.
Don’t bother with pill cutters, the best thing by far is a surgical scalpel! My surgeon friend got me onto it for cutting my levothyroxine.
I use a craft knife with a triangular flat edged blade after the pill cutters I bought just ended up crushing the tablets. When my thumbnails are strong enough I can also just break them in half along the score lines… but that might be harder if you have bigger hands.
I have several from EBay. None cost more than a couple of pounds. I find some work better with certain pills( I need to cut 3 ) I replace them when they start to crush rather than cut as they get blunt.
I have one of these and I really don't like it. The pills are rarely cut in half and often crumble. amazon.co.uk/Easy-Use-Pill-...
I find a sharp paring knife with a non-serrated blade works well.
Hi, I have this one that has a place to keep the cut bits in; TabTime 3 in 1
I've just brought a basic one from Amazon £2.99 and cuts any size pills into halfs and quarters fine.
I keep both a scalpel and a pill cutter in stock. I like the scalpel but will always test cutting a new type or brand of pill with a pill cutter if possible to see how well it does the job if it needs to be halved. But I find lots of pills just crumble no matter how I cut them or what I cut them with.
One major benefit of scalpels or hobby/craft knives is that you can buy spare blades for them or they come supplied with 4 or 5 new blades, whereas I've never seen spare blades available for a pill cutter.
Thank you humanbean. I’ve bought the one SeasideSusie recommended and if I find I don’t get on with it I’ll have to dig out my hobbycraft knife. It’s just that I’m a bit cackhanded and don’t trust myself and especially in these last few days I’ve developed a tremor. No idea what that’s about
Anyway, at £2.99, it’s not the end of the world if it’s useless
