I have chronic fatigue and recently had tests done privately. Would you kindly interpret my thyroid function

TSH 1.07 (0.27-4.20) mU/L

ft4 19.3 (12.0-22.0) pmol

ft3 4.5 (3.1-6.8) pmol

The posters on here are very good at interpreting a wide range of lab results so if you have any more test results even if they are within the range post them on here.

Part of the reason is that some tests you don't think are relevant are very relevant when looking at issues.

BTW I noticed your T4 and T3 are missing. If you had a thyroid panel done as part of your tests T4 would have been included with TSH as standard.

Rania,

They're excellent results. TSH is low-normal, FT4 high-normal, and FT3 mid-range. Results don't indicate hypothyroidism.

This doctor, now deceased would have diagnosed you due to your clinical symptoms:-

Even though your levels are in the 'normal' range you must have symptoms as your doctor has diagnosed CFS. Read this question/answer dated October 5, 2000 on the following link:-

Ask your GP to test for thyroid antibodies which you may have.

You may have a host of other problems that are not linked to thyroid. Research Candida which is a major cause of candida. Also your iron ?

Well, actually, your FT3 isn't quite mid-range, and might not be high enough for you. There is a slight conversion problem, there. Because FT4 is much higher in range. So, I think you ought to ask for your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested. They need to be optimal for good conversion. :)
