Horizon blood tests

I know this website recommends them but has anyone used these? It's alot of money to pay if they aren't a legit company. Thanks

Are you referring to Blue Horizon?

Thyroid UK works closely with Blue Horizon and would not do so if they were not a 'legit company'.

The recommended labs on Thyroiduk.org.uk's website are genuine bone-fide organisations. Many members have used them and been happy. Because NHS has to pay for blood tests and our GPs have been told that only TSH or T4 are necessary but we've found that other tests can show up problems.

You get a discount if you mention Thyroiduk's Code Number on whichever you choose.

I've used both Blue Horizon Medicals and Genova Diagnostics UK quite a few times and been happy with the service from both companies.

I've used Genova Diagnostics and they were great. Unfortunately, my GP and Endo wouldn't  accept the results, they both told me they were wrong.  I know Genova do a perfectly good service, a nutritionalist friend uses them for her patients and has never had any problems.

I think I remember someone of here saying their lab in Guildford is also used by NHS?

Hi, I have used them and wondered myself at first.. One of the people that emailed me back was called Jonni Rainbow so you can see why I wondered... But I used them, spoke with them and they are great... My GP was snotty about it all tho.. So use them don't worry... Jo

We messed up on Husbands 1st blood test with BH and they promptly sent us through another which was successful, easy to use, but you must follow instructions in full. The results were well worth paying for as Husband's Dr. had not considered doing the iron test panel and half were showing under range.

I can appreciate you being careful sassykate0000 , there are companies that test your blood by swinging a pendulum over it after all, and this is in the UK.
