I have hypothyroidism as a result of a pituitary tumour. I am currently on 100mcg of levothyroxine but am feeling really unwell. In fact, I can't remember the last time I actually felt 'normal'. I take loads of other hormones too - including cortisol. My Endo and GP constantly fob me off and say my results are in normal range. They are reluctant to increase my Levo dose but will automatically increase my antidepressants almost wily nily. Most recent blood tests were: T4 11.9 and T3 4.3. My TSH was 0.26 but because of the pituitary damage this is kind of irrelevant.
My question: where can I safely purchase NDT such as nature thyroid? I need to do something as I'm getting nowhere with my doctors. Many thanks.

Got my thyroid medication on <a web site>, and plenty of places sell it, just google and search. As for if it is safe am sure they are as safe as the one the doctor gives you. If it makes you feel so awful you have nothing to lose by adding to it or changing it.

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm going to try NP thyroid, which I've now ordered. Being on 100mcg of levo, do you think I should start straight away on 1.5 grain of NP?
