I have been taking levothyroxine for the past 2 years and have had no relief from symptoms which include crushing fatigue, headaches, stomach issues, low body temp, swollen thyroid and many more despite the blood test results from my thyroid all coming back normal. I am desperate to try anything and heard that if the body has a problem converting t4 to t3 then this could help. I have asked the GP in the UK about this but she said she has never heard of it and T4 is the only medication she can prescribe me. I have heard of others successfully ordering their T3 online and just wondered if anyone who does this would be able to message me to let me know which sites are the most reliable to order from. I would be grateful for any advice on this. Thank you!

I'd also like to know the best place to get T3 as where I've been buying it has just discontinued again and now want four times the price for 70% less!!!!
It has worked for me Beth but my GP does monitor my levels with regular blood tests, so if you do go that route make sure you let your doc know so they can at least keep an eye on you.
If you can get a print-out of your latest blood test results with the ranges, post on a new post for comments.
If you email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk and ask for a copy of the Pulse online article by Dr Toft (who was president of the BTA).
Highlight question 6 and send to your GP and ask her to read this question and also he says that some of us need T3 and how low our TSH can be. You might be lucky and she will follow Dr Toft's guide. She also might have to discuss with the head f the Surgery.
You can also mention that it is the Active hormone required in all of our receptor cells.
