Snooze, do you have the lab ref ranges (figures in brackets after results) for FT4 and FT3?

in reply toClutter

Yes t4 is ( 12-22

T3 I'm not sure sorry clutter think it's around 3 to 6 if I remember the last time

Snooze, FT4 isn't over range and FT3 is low in range so I can only think that your GP wants you to reduce Levothyroxine to raise TSH into range which isn't likely to improve symptoms. I think you may feel better with higher FT3 and shouldn't worry about TSH.

A test for Addison's just tells you if you have Addison's or not. It does not tell you if you just have low cortisol because your adrenals are fatigued. For that you need a 24 hour saliva test. But you won't get that on the NHS, you would have to go private.

Polymyalgia is not a disease, it is a symptom. It just means 'pain everywhere'.

Antibiotics will not help your thyroid, that's for sure, because they will destroy all your good biotics in the gut. Besides, antibiotics won't help flu because it's viral.

Perhaps you need a new doctor!

Thank you for your wishes, and a very Happy New Year to you, too. :)
