Can you personally recommend a book on hypo that is really
Hello fairyeyes,
I would always recommend "Your Thyroid & How To Keep It Healthy" by Dr Barry Durrant Peatfield....he is master of the thyroid gland..lol
Flower
You can also borrow the book for the cost of postage if you contact Thyroiduk.org.uk.
I like "Stop the Thyroid Madness"
Like you I knew zero about thyroid disease even though I had had it 30 years already when I found this site couldn't absorb or concentrate on anything .. Galathia loaned me quite a few books and the one I found easiest to understand and absorb was Dr Petefields book. Dr Tofts book was interesting but it was too technical for me to grasp and absorb at the time.
Thyroid Power, 10 steps to total health by Richard L. Shames, M.D., and Karilee Halo Shames, R.N. Ph.D. is another good read.
