Interesting article about other vitamins to take with magnesium, i just bought a liquid formula from Floradix called Saludynam which has calcium, zinc , magnesium and vitamin D hopefully this does the trick!!!!

Except... it has calcium in it. The first article talks about the dangers of supplementing with calcium. Your much more likely to be magnesium deficient than calcium deficient, because there's more calcium around. But what the Saludynam lacks, and what is essential, is vit K2.

can u supplement with K2? looking at the label there is not much of any of the vitamins in to be honest.... i bought the liquid iron with the vitamins in it and then i seen this one and decided to try it.......

No, that's true, there's not much of anything. You would need more magnesium than that.

Yes, you can supplement with K2. I take NOW vit K2, 100 mcg veg capsules, that I bought on Amazon. :)

Sorry, but what have foods high in b vitamins got to do with magnesium?

This magnesium doesn't have B6 in :

amazon.co.uk/MAGNESIUM-CAPS...

This is the one I take, and I like it. I know B6 can be a problem for some people.

Hi greygoose, what size are these capsules? I tried some magnesium tablets which are huge and even broken I am struggling to swallow so I wondered if these would be a more ' normal' capsule size? Thanks

greygoose in reply toWobblyX

Sorry, but they're huge, too. I've never seen magnesium tablets that weren't huge. :(

I have found this liquid one on Amazon but it has two types of magnesium in it so not sure if it would be suitable, it is

Floradix Magnesium Liquid Mineral Supplement ...would you know anything about it?

It is very expensive!

Each bottle of 250mL is just a standard dose for 2 and a half days. And costs £6.50.

On top of that, the dose only contains 250 milligrams of magnesium, which isn't a particuallry large dose.

Floradix are masters of producing a pleasant form of a substance that ends up costing far more than most other products.

That is horrific!

Thanks helvella! Think I'll just be breaking these big ones up into bits then😊

There are other options such as magnesium powder - search and you will find several suppliers. Check exactly what it is before you buy.

Will do, that sounds like a good option, thank you

I use Natural Calm, which is a powder that you stir into a glass of water. Still an expensive way to buy magnesium but I can tolerate it better than the tablets. It's on Amazon, but you might find it cheaper elsewhere amazon.co.uk/Peter-Gillhams...

I forgot to say, there are different versions. At least one version includes calcium, which is not a good idea, so do check before you commit to buy.
