I asked for a copy of my thyroid bloods from my new GPS. She said it would cost either £10 or £20. Please remind me again what Legislation advises on price and range of pricing so that I can quote it: unless I've missed announcements of price rises?

Costs for a copy of results
We are entitled by law to have a copy of our blood tests. My GP charges zero but some take a nominal sum for paper etc.
This is from a previous link which might be helpful and others who've had a similar response as you had from your GP will respond.
Ploggy123, Commercial printers charge between £0.40 and £1 per sheet. If the request is for results within 40 days of testing the practice should not charge more than a norminal £1/£2 to cover the cost of printer ink and paper, it's not suppose to be used as a revenue scheme. If you are asking for results older than 40 days the practice can charge £10 for a copy of your electronic summary records or £50 for all your electronic and paper records. ico.org.uk/for_the_public/t...
When my practice manager tried to charge me £10 for results I declined and made an appointment to view my records online and make my own notes. I think the cost of an admin person to oversee me would have exceeded £10. I didn't need the appointment as a GP printed the results for me during an appointment.
