Having suffered some real problems with the NHS T3 I have finally got my Gp to approve a move over to Cytomel. However getting it here in the UK has been a major problem. One pharmacist said "its not got a unit price on the agreed index so I can't get it for you", but the truth is some what different. The price the NHS has agreed to pay for Cytomel is £1100 per 100 tablets (25mcg). What idiot at the NHS agreed that when its available in the USA for a considerably smaller sum. No wonder the NHS is short of money if it behaves in this way and no wonder moves are in progress to ban the drug as its so expensive. As usual its us patients that suffer behind closed doors and end up buying it ourselves or holidaying permanently in Greece!

I don't know the price of Cytomel but I do know that other T3s are so much lower in cost than UK prescribed T3 which used to be about £29 per month. How they warrant the increase and the NHS landed with a bill or the patient isn't able to source it.
Have you tried Boots - maybe they are able to source T3 at a cheaper price.
It certainly is. I think Walgreens is a huge company in the USA - no wonder they plough into the pharmaceutical industry and then prices rocket and they sit on a nice cushion through illhealth.
