Remaining blood results

Hi after your advice the other day I have been and got remaining readings which were normal. Any ideas please

anti-TPO antibodies 2U/ml (0-150)

Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs 5U/ml (0-150

SERUM TSH level 0. 81 (0. 27-4. 20)

SERUM total bilirubin level 5umol/L (0-21)

SERUM ALTlevel 27IU/L (4-45)

Any advice please.

Lizcosgrove, antibodies are negative for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). TSH is in low-normal range but gives no indication to FT4 and FT3 levels which are the thyroid hormones.

Thanks. Don't really know what to do next apart from

B12 tablets. See if that helps.

Liz, you could order private FT4 and FT3 tests from Blue Horizon and Genova thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...

TSH only doesn't show low FT4 and FT3 and will miss diagnosis of secondary hypothyroidism.

I'm on benefits so this is too expensive. Can this be done by nhs. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th and would ask if I thought they would do this.

Liz, NHS can test both but the lab will usually decline to test FT3 unless TSH is <0.03.
