I have had hypothyroid condition since I was 51. I take very little calcium, but do take bio-identical estrogen and progesterone and have the bones of a 30 year old, so says my doctor.
I was considering taking Synthroid before going to bed, but since I take magnesium at that time I don't want to combine them. Magnesium makes me sleepy.

As you are taking Synthroid I assume you are in the USA.
As mentioned above, you can try a Natural Dessicated Thyroid Hormone which contains all of the hormones our healthy thyroid gland would have produced. I will also give you a link to Dr Lowe's archived website. He died due to an accident but his wife deals with Thyro-Gold.
Some of the links in his website might not be accessed but he has lots of good info and he would never, ever prescribe Synthroid.
