Unfortunately, everyone's blood tests results are different so I cannot say for sure whether yours are 'right'.
Did you leave approx 24 hours between T3 and your blood test? If so, I would ask for an increase in your T3 as it is in the middle of the range and I would prefer mine to be higher.
20mcg of T3 is equal to 60mcg of levothyroxine which is very low. The most important question is 'how are you feeling'. If not quite perfect I would ask for an increase of 10mcg of T3 which would give an equivalent of 90mcg levo.
p.s. There's no information on your Profile as to when you were diagnosed or a little of your thyroid history. To look at others click on their name. Some members haven't completed theirs but it's helpful so we don't keep asking repeat questions.
Hi Shaws
Thanks, yes I didn't take my morning dose before test. Why I posted this is because labs report says It's normal no action. and my Dr said nothing.
How I feel is weight problem. I am not sure why my profile is missing. I find it difficult to navigate, I know it's me. I was diagnosed 10 years ago.
Afaghieh, I think 3.8 is a little low in range and agree with Shaws that a 10mcg dose increase would be helpful if you are still symptomatic. T3 in the top third of range is desirable ie >4.6 for you.
This is a link which might be helpful. I don't think doctors are aware that if our TSH isn't low enough that our metabolism cannot work efficiently because we needmore hormones.
Hi Shaws
I don't see the link.
Thanks
