Why are expiry dates on NDT short?

Is it because the contents are not very stable? Am using Westhroid WP at moment and it runs out in march 15 and I ordered two bottles last Oct!

Hi Cat, you've been unlucky in ordering some with a short date. Most sites state the date they are currently shipping. I've got some with dates into 2017.

Just another thought, if you have more tablets than you'll use by their date you could try freezing them. Haven't tried it myself, but I've read they freeze well. I think Dr. P mentions it in his book.

You have bought old stock. not to worry, I saw-n article last year where some meds were tested which were about 19 years out of date. And they had lost only a tiny amount of potency. I am currently taking meds with a sell by date of oct 2014. They are fine.

HI My daughter a R.and D chemist says that it is the license so they are probably OK over date but originally the license for longer not applied for in most drugs.

Ok thanks for the advice. 2 days back on the suspected tabs and I feel bad again and then ok on new batch doing so much more and not having to lay down after each household task. There is definitely something wrong with the first half grain tabs.

Didn't think of the dates when i ordered them! and I will look out for this next time. Ooh I'll have to get Dr P's book out re freezing them, never heard of that.
