Welcome to the forum, Kaba42. It helps members interpret your results if you include the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after your results).
Your FT4 is towards the top of most ranges and your TSH is low so it sounds like your GP has listened to you and increased your medication to see if it helps resolve your symptoms.
Ask your GP to test ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate as they're often low/deficient in hypothyroid patients and symptoms include fatigue, musculoskeletal aches and pains and low mood.
My TSH level has went from 0.61mu/l to 0.19mu/l range (0.27-4.2) in the past 4 weeks and T4 24.3 pmol/l range (12-22) I had actually went to doctors with underactive symptons and got bloods done doctor had rang me to decrease my thyroxine but due to my symptons agreed I could have bloods done again in 2 weeks and if T4 still raised I have to decrease I have just had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago could this alter my levels and why if they are saying my levels are raised am I feeling this bad thanks in advance for any feedback
Kaba,
I don't whether the gallbladder op will have caused your TSH to drop and FT4 to rise but it's possible that your absorption of Levothyroxine has improved and that would cause those changes.
Ask your GP to check out ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate as I suggested above. Nitrous oxide in general anaesthetic can strip B12 and it may need replacement.
Make sure you take your Levothyroxine after your thyroid blood test as taking it before will give a false low TSH and false high FT4. The blood test should be early in the morning when TSH is highest.
Hi thanks for the welcome
