Ignore previous post please .Not well expressed Have been 16 days adding 20mcgs T3to Liquid Thyroxine but feel so awful in the morning ,all swimmy and fluey .Then I panic terribly and get into an awful state .I missed the T3dose last night and feel OK this morning .I wonder if I need the T3 after all or should try and get used to 10 mcgs first ? How long does it take for the body to get used to T3 ?

My most recent results were TSH. 0.3 (0.4 - 4.5 ) FT4 21.7 (9.0 -25 ) FT3 4.7 (3.5 -7.8 )

The Dr's aim was to reduce the liquid thyroxine from the equivalent of 125 Mcg to 100mcg with 40mcg T3 .Perhaps this is going to over medicate me? Any views out there? Thanks.

The Dr wanted to increase the T3 level as I was feeling tired .

20mcg is a lot of T3 to start with.

Pig4u, 20mcg T3 is roughly equivalent to 60mcg Levothyroxine (T4). Your test results show you appear to be optimally medicated on 125mcg T4 so your T4 should have been reduced by 50mcg to 75mcg when 20mcg T3 was added in.

Your symptoms suggest overmedication. Try 10mcg of T3 with 100mcg T4 taken in the morning and see whether your symptoms improve. If you stll feel swimmy/anxious split the 10mcg T3 into two doses 4/8 hours apart.

Thank you so much .I will try the lower dose of T3 with 100mcg of T4 .Is there a T3 pill without fillers .?

Not that I'm aware of Pig4u, tablets need fillers to bind the active ingredient. Google liquid Liothyronine and liquid triiodothyronine to see if such a medicine exists. I did wonder whether fillers might be an issue but your symptoms sound like over medication.

I seem to remember that there is a liquid liothyronine - somehow think it is an Italian product. However, getting hold of it might be very difficult or impossible.

Maybe Google's translation into Italian would help with searching?

liotironina liquido

Rod, I know T3 is available intravenously in hospitals but I don't know whether it is supplied in liquid form or mixed up in the hospitals.

That form is indeed dry:

Liothyronine Sodium 20 micrograms Powder for Solution for Injection

But what I dimly remember was something more like the the liquid levothyroxine for oral use.

Thought that might be the case. Thank you, Rod.
