A Homemade Recipe for Magnesium Oil Spray

It doesn't contain oil but it is 'oily' when first put on skin.

What you need:

1/2 cup Magnesium Chloride Flakes

1/2 cup distilled water

A glass bowl or glass measuring cup

A glass spray bottle (plastic will work too)

then follow instructions.

  • I also posted a link the other day, about how to bathe in the flakes - total immersion ;-)

  • I didn't see it but will have a read. Thanks.

  • Where do you get the Magnesium Flakes from?

  • google.co.uk/search?q=magen...

I cannot comment on any supplier or any product as I have never bought any. Lots of other possible suppliers - on-line and real.

  • Does the magnesium have to be magnesium chloride? I have a large bottle of magnesium citrate that I bought accidentally, thinking it contained pills or capsules. This might be a use for it....

  • To be "magnesium oil", yes, it has to be magnesium chloride. Other forms of magnesium may be absorbable through the skin but they might not have quite the same effect. (I know that common-or-garden magnesium sulphate - Epsom salts - does absorb to some extent.)

But do look up whether the citrate is OK for use on skin directly.
