Nanogen....anyone tried these products?

I was told the other day by someone to try Nanogen keratin hair fibres which give an instant look of having thicker hair and also covers any areas of thinning. They also mentioned their thickening shampoo and conditioner. Has anyone tried these products, are they as good as they say?

Hi I use the Viviscal hair fibres and they are brilliant. I would not go out anymore unless I have these. I have so much hair loss you can see my scalp in places. This covers it up so well that nobody would know.

Thank you for your reply Hoopster. Think that might be something else to take a look at as I can see my scalp in places too and it gets worse each time I have washed my hair. I am hoping now I have to take iron tablets that it will eventually stop but for now either Viviscal or Nanogen hair fibres might be the way to help my confidence.

I have some Nanogen that I bought ages ago. Couldn't get on with it as I change my hair colour and it never matches!

My hair has improved so much since I bought it so don't need it. It was quite costly and I would love it to go to a good home. It's brown and if you PM with your address I will be very happy to send it on to you. It needs a good home! Might be worth just trying (if the colour is right) so that you don't waste your money if it doesn't suit you.

Hi Ellarose1234, I am so sorry, only just read this reply as not been on for a while. Thank you so much for the offer, I would have taken you up on it as well. My husband has since posting bought me some in a medium brown colour. I am really impressed with it and feel so much better when leaving the house now, with Nanogen on I don't feel so conscious. I just hope it starts growing back and thickening up! You mentioned yours has improved, did you lose quite a bit of your hair? What have you done, or used to make your hair better? If you don't mind me asking that is. x

Hello Tracy. Glad you are getting on with Nanogen. I just couldn't get the colour right for me. I think that I have at long last got my medication right, plus Vit D which was low, zinc and magnesium. Gradually I realised my hair was about normal again. I no longer worry about sitting under bright lights! It was a slow process. If you would like the Nanogen I will happily post it to you. I would be pleased for it to go to a good home!

Hi Ellarose, I am so glad your medication has been sorted and your hair is about normal again :-). I so hope mine will go back to normal again soon. It has currently stopped coming out as much as it did, so that is a start but it is really, really thin. I am currently taking 3 x 210mg iron tablets a day now as my ferritin level was 8 and my Boots pharmacist suggested a multivitamin/mineral for hair, skin & nails but without B12 as already have to have B12 injections every 3 months as I don't store it. Plus I do think that my diet change due to acute pancreatitis necrosis hasn't helped either. If you really don't need the Nanogen and there is no one else to pass it to then I would love to have it, please. I will send you a PM with my address. x

I havent tried nanogen but know someone who swears by it. Dont really understand it,surely it's just like colouring in your scalp?
