I'm afraid you will have to go back to your surgery to ask for the range, as they vary by lab (assuming that is your TSH result). That said, however, most ranges for TSH are around the 0.5-5.0 mark, so 6.5 looks high, indicating hypothyroidism. Did you have anything else tested e.g. fT4?
Some hospital labs, but not all, have the pathology lab handbook available to download on the web. You could try looking up your local hospital that the bloods were done at, and seeing if its there.

If you have a diagnosis of hypothyroid, many of these tests are relevant. Labs do have their own ranges for high and low due to the method they use for measurements but TSH seems to be universal although the UK accepts a higher range as normal. In the U.S., 3.00 or over would call for treatment.
