Have increased levo, new blood test results. Would appreciate some thoughts.

I have increased my levothyroxine from 100mcg to 200mcg a day.(with Doctors consent).To try and get TSH level down to under 1. This has been gradual over three months. My usual symptoms are much better. I feel more awake ,warm,happy and positive. The only downsides are after moderate exercise (golf) my legs,knees and feet ache.In the mornings i find it difficult to walk until i have been in the shower, and i also have some palpitations. Results are TSH 0.01 RANGE 3.2-5.1 T4 26.8 RANGE 12-22 T3 5.9 RANGE 3.1- 6.8. Would like some thoughts on new levels and new symptoms please.

I'm not a doctor, but I would say that, taking into consideration both symptoms and test results, its better to lower Levo and add some T3. Maybe you should discuss such an option with you doctor?

Just a thought but did you take your levothyroxine on the morning of your test? This might account for the low TSH and over range T4.

You look like you are hyperthyroid! I believe an ideal TSH for people with Hashimotos is between 0.75 - 2.25. Anything below 0.05 is negligible which means there might not be any TSH and you T4 is usually elevated like yours. All the best
