can i take alcohol with levothyroxine?

hi ive just been diagnosed with hypothryrodism about two mnths ago. i take 25mcg of levo at 11.30pm wen i go to bed. tonight im going out for a few drinks when should i take my levo? xx

I cannot answer your question but I do know there have been a few posts to say that alcohol has a bad affect on them.

Maybe take your levo in the morning but am not sure if alcohol will still have an affect.

hi danid 1989. i have just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism myself at end of june, and am on 75 lev a day and take it in morning around 7ish and ive been out last few nights and had a drink , i wouldn't like to drink and a few hours later take them, i feel ok in the morning after a drink night before , dont no if this helps you .

I feel fine if I have had a drink and have never noticed any adverse affects (mind you, I do only drink about one or two cans of lager a week!)
