Can I take Sea Kelp with Levo?

Was wondering if its of any benefit if already on Levo, only take 25mcg at the mo as im borderline (according to bloods)

Not a good idea if your thyroid isn't working properly giving it more iodine to deal with is not going to help. Borderline, is that like being a tiny bit pregnant?

That's what I thought, I don't think I will take it. yes, well my bloods were borderline, very. so its taken a while for me to get GP to realise I have HYPO!! same old story of diagnosing yourself! the 25mcg have helped already! x

Also there is a yahoo iodine group see facebook.com/groups/iodine4... . Kelp is not a clean source of iodine. Iodine supplementation is controversial but worth investigating - you need to take companion nutrients with it. Dr Peatfield borrowed his ideas from Dr David Brownstein, whom he's met (he told me) and Brownstein's book on iodine is worth a read.

That is a closed group - you have to be signed up to Facebook to be able to see it.

How bizarre to have to join Facebook in order to view something on a Yahoo forum. In fact, when I look in Yahoo, I can see lots of iodine groups but none is called iodine4health.

By the way, if you click on Reply to this the person you are replying to usually gets an alert. Unfortunately, these do not seem to be working 100% at the moment but, mostly, they do help.

You don't have to join facebook they have an active group on facebook and ALSO a yahoo group. x
