Tiger Balm is good but over the time the formula changed a lot, actually one of the best that I tried was when I was in Thailand during my last trip, the balm is named 'Monkey Balm' pharmasie.fr/Baume_du_singe...

I love tiger balm for my stiff and aching muscles. I've never worked out how to use it for headaches, must do so!

Maybe different techniques for different types of headache?

Hi! I have been on Levo for ten years and in my opinion you can take levo at the same time as paracetamol no problem! They do not interact as far as I am aware. I take paracetamol a lot and have never had any problems. Also, levo will give you energy, so better to take it first thing in the morning if you can. Some supplements such as iron and calcium interact with levo so I don't take supplements at the same time. Hope that answers your question.

Nothing on interaction checker

The fillers in paracetamol might slow the absorption of levothyroxine. Just a thought.....A little space in between, 1-2 hours, makes more sense to me.

Thank you Cabro 😊

gripewater is another alternative for headaches, works well for any migraine types for me.Tastes a bit funny, the same stuff as they give babies. I suppose it must be the dill in it.

Trouble is headache. Why? If stuffed nose and hair loss and hairless eyebrows could be lack of iodine. Don't say no. Just take it as it is. Keep in mind.

Hi Scrumbler,

It’s not a matter of interaction - it’s that particularly on people who are older or have low stomach acid the dissolution of meds in the gut is slower and it can affect the absorption of both meds. It is not as much a matter of habit by pharmacists as lightening the load on the gut and metabolism to get the maximum effect for each medication.

Of course for those who have multiple meds, it is of course more complicated and one has to do the best one can and that can mean doing what you have to do.

Sending you best wishes!

Levo should be taken with water first thing in the morning 20 mins before food or coffee instead of late evening. The absorption difference is immense.

Advice here is that Levo should be taken on an empty stomach, one hour before food or two hours after, with water only either side for an hour.

Many people take their Levo at bedtime as they find it suits them better. Many take it in the early hours of the morning for convenience of keeping it away from other medication and supplements and the stomach will be empty.

There are no rules set in stone about time of day to take it. It's what suits the individual.

But the original question on this thread wasn't about when to take Levo, but the timing of paracetamol when taking Levo.

I’ve never thought about it. Never had any problems. Regular headache or one off?
