My sister is convinced she is hypothyroid since I have been diagnosed so I told her to get tested which she managed (somehow) to get done. Her results are;
TSH 2.4 (0.2-4
T4 12.4 (10-20)
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Some people have clinical symptoms of hypothyroidism but blood test levels don't always correlate. Some private doctors may prescribe according to clinical symptoms.
To complete the picture you really need the FT3 result - so it will probably have to be done privately. T4 converts into T3 - so without that result it is difficult to tell what is going on in the body. Also the Anti-bodies - Anti-TPO and Anti-Tg. When I was first tested in 2005 the TSH FT4 and FT3 were all in range. It was only the antibodies that confirmed the diagnosis of Hashimotos and a scan revealed nodes. T3 is needed in every cell of the body so if it is low then you can have the symptoms of being Hypo. I believe cost prevents it from being tested in the UK on a regular basis....very silly.
Also LOW B12 VitD Ferritin Folates and Iron can make you feel pretty rotten. Results need to be near the top and not just in the range. These should all be tested....
Hope your sister soon feels better....
