Heatwave warning on the news. Diabetes, heart disease and respiratory disease are mentioned but not thyroid disease.

Do they not realise that people with thyroid disease suffer a lot in weather extremes and that it is the thermostat disease!

How can that be possible? It is purely a somatoform disorder. So, if anyone dies it won't matter, it will be a purely somatoform death. We'll wake up tomorrow absolutely fine!

Since having my thyroid removed I have had problems with temperature control.If I get too hot I have difficulty in getting cool again.I have learnt to control heat by drinking plenty of water and keeping inside during the heat of the day.if I do overheat I feel quite Ill.Yet another problem to do with thyroid that dr s don t tell you about!
