thanks for your reply I always worry when the symptoms evolve (again) after years of this you think I'd know it inside and out but no there's always something else to panic about!

Oh thanks for replying I always go into a tailspin whenever this flares up, its been ten days of up and down this time with dull aching (I do the hot water bottle thing too) I've been having gut spasms today , will probably have to cancel a coffee with a friend tomorrow (I can never make plans) I feel panicky and anxious am also getting the usual headache that comes along with it as well thoroughly fed up reluctant to say I have a chronic illness but it really is !!

I have been prescribed the drug Simalviane® for my functional bloating (trapped wind) by a gastroenterologist working at the University Hospital of Leuven, Belgium. Does help to alleviate the symptoms caused by trapped wind. Ingredient for alleviating the symptoms of excessive trapped wind in the bowel is simethicon / simeticon. Alverine citrate, the other ingredient, is for alleviating bowel spasms.
