I’ve tried Alflorex, Optibac women, Alflorex calm, Bio Kult , Starpowa friendly bacteria and Ferrocalm.

Alflorex and Bio Kult were the best imo out of all of them.

Both reasonably priced on Amazon.

I have tried many probiotics over the years. Alflorex worked best for me and has been scientifically studied for IBS. I take the original version.

Good luck with them. Fingers crossed. Normally a 3 month trial is the best, but see how you get on.

My NHS Dietician recommended Symprove as it's been shown in trials to be effective for IBS -C. It takes a while to (up to 12 weeks) is quite expensive. It's available online from Symprove or you can buy it from Sainsbury. I've found it reduces bloating, cramping and I get a lot less constipation.

You can Linda who owns the company with her husband, she is so knowledgable,& will reply to any questions you have.she will go through all your symptoms & meds & suggest what you should take.My husband has had a flareup& been i hosp, iv anbiotics, pain relief. I contacted linda & she suggested a Charcoal cleanse for 5days, & live bacteria, & digestive enzymes for 30days .

He has done the cleanse which was fine, &is half way through his 30days & is doing really well.
