Laxido pain
I'm same, I take linoclotide for chronic constipation, I go several times each morning until I'm empty. I too am still in pain all day and night, I think it's caused by the colon being empty, but still goes into spasm with nothing inside it.
I am taking Laxido (1 sachet per day). I also have large amounts of gas, so maybe that’s normal - I wasn’t sure. I have been prescribed it for slow transit and will be taking it indefinitely. Are you perhaps supposed to be taking it long term?
I also take turmeric in tablet form every day I don’t know if that is making any difference, but I don’t have anything in the way of gut pain
Hmm….. Maybe you need to report this to your doctor. There may be something that’s a bit gentler on you stomach that you can take instead? Sorry not to be more helpful.
is it as painful taking the low dose as it is taking the low dose?
I have taken 1.5 sachets of Movicol (same thing), for the past 10 years because I have pelvic floor dysfunction and IBSC. It bloats me and is somewhat unpredicatble! It gives me narrow stools (although I'm not sure whether that's because of my tight pelvic floor!
Most days I need to go several times but only small amounts, and this leads to piles.
There is nor perfect laxative but this has been the lesser of several evils for me. Good luck!
Do you have left lower back cramps.
Not anymore But I stopped taking the laxido six days ago because of the pain and gas and now every other day passing huge motions three or four times and still in pain. I am now stressing it is megacolon ? very stressed with it all
Yes, unfortunately completely normal, always gives me awful gas and cramping and is completely unpredictable. Need to find something better
