constipation in perimenopause

I always have suffered with constipation. It is much worse since perimenopause. Just started HRT for bones and it’s worse still. Taken laxido for 2/3 days x3 doses a day and it has given much relief. Anyone been in a similar position and how long did you keep taking laxido for and at what dose? Many thanks

I don't have experience of Laxido, but might be best to call your GP for advice if it isn't helping.

Yes, peri menopause made my IBS-C significantly worse. I took Laxido for a couple of months, which did help. Now I take linseed in my porridge instead and that works reasonably well. I found that HRT improved the situation, though, as it addressed the disturbed sleep issue, which had caused increased anxiety, which then had a knock-on effect on my gut.
