Ive posted a few times regarding my ongoing issues.
Noisy stomach with severe bowel gas with discharge and wet flatulance.
Ive had a few months clear and all ok but its back with a vengeance.
Ive had all tests done in last 6 months..clear colonoscopy. Ct with contrast but it showed a focal constriction but specialist said this was common and colonoscopy would have showed a issue. Bloods ok..
I went gluten free and also 1 loperamide a day and this gave me my life back. Could go out do things and go gym. But today i woke up with severe gas and sat on loo expelling mucus and foam. Bowel motions are fluffy and loose.
Does anyone have any advice for me regarding this passing mucus.
All help appreciated

Hello, I am sorry to hear your troubles. I have a long history of ibs c and gastroparesis. Recently, I began having your symptoms minus the foam & soon found myself with rapid diarrhea and bleeding rectally. I did a colonoscopy showing proctitis with an ulceration & possible UC just out of the blue whereas before it was similar to what you describe. Sometimes ulcerative colitis, does cause strictures. I hope you feel better soon
Hey, I had problems with mucus several years ago and it was so frustrating because I didn’t know what was going on. It seemed to go away on its own... but more recently I did garlic and celery seeds ongoing for six weeks and after many years my bowel movements are how they should be... solid and sausage-shaped. These herbal microbials will kill a gut infection without the negative side effects of anti-biotics. Maybe bromelain would be a good anti-inflammmatory, or try to eat the pineapple itself to get the fibre.
hi mal, i havent used loperamide for many years as it didnt work for me. I now take 1 x 30 mg of codeine phosphate 3 times a day. This seems to work by slowing things down. This has to be prescribed by the GP. Good luck. Carole
You mentioned foam, I'm not a doctor but sounds like you have too much e coli or another, bad bacteria in your gut have you tried a course of good bacteria? Don't use artificial sweeteners and try and eat as close to source as possible. Gluten free diet is ok but have you seen the ingredients in those things? Lots of organic meat n veg. Homemade soups, casseroles etc. Might be worth getting back to a simple old fashioned diet. And if you must drink make your own. Hope it all goes ok. My father in law had mucas he went back to a diet of organic meat n three veg , nuts, seeds, natural yoghurt with fruit, porrage with brown sugar. He even started making homemade crisps, use Himalayan salt only, and grind your own pepper. This diet ended his diabetes too
