I have to have a colonoscopy and have been given Plenvu. Have seen some awful experiences of people with it on line. Can anyone let me know how they found it?

Has anyone had Plenvu bowel prep?
I’ve no experience of this particular one, but the name gives me some amusement - “Plain View”. Obviously what the medics want, but is there the need to say so?
Hopefully someone will be able to give you some feedback on taking this prep. Good luck for your procedure.
I was initially given it as my bowel prep but then the consultant changed it to picolax as they found Plenvu wasn’t as effective however I wish they had kept it as picolax was horrific!! It’s due to the shortage of moviprep as that’s the best prep but they are all struggling to get hold of it across the country xx
hi, so I have experience of this last year. Have gone through bowel prep twice. In my experience it didn’t cause my ibs symptoms to flare. I had no tummy cramps with it. Just stay close to the toilet, and make sure you have something to protect the skin you no where as it starts to burn after a while.
I had two colonoscopies last month, the first using moviprep didn't clear my bowel effectively, the second using plenvu which worked well. Out of the two I would use plenvu again as there is not so much volume to take. Definitely use Vaseline or something similar to protect from soreness/burning, which I didn't do from the start first time. The downside with plenvu was I had not much notice when it was going to work just heard a gurgle followed almost immediately by a very loose/watery bowel movement, with moviprep I had bad stomach cramps before bowel movements. Plenvu tasted pretty foul, but they all do, I made up the solution and kept it in fridge, much better cold, and drink plenty. Good luck hope this helps.
