I have just been given movicol instead of Laxido and it’s really upset my IBS and is giving me constant runs despite having only taken 1 sachet today and this also happened when I took just one sachet last week. They are not the same at all! Avoid if you have IBS!

Avoid movicol if you have IBS
Hi Petunia, I have diverticulosis, not IBS but it has been the same with me and Movicol. Really had a terrible time when I tried it. Thank you for posting, I know now will not touch the stuff again.
Haven't posted a while, I have IBS And diverticua plus a medium hiatus hernia, my mother had hiatus hernia, but not sure if it's heredity. When you have diver and IBS, It's impossible to know what's causing symptoms. Even normal state diverticular can give spasms in the gut. My doctor says I have now after 25 years chronic IBS. I find gravys, whit sauces, bacon or sausages and fried eggs is a complete no go. I also have to pick through some meals, and remove insolubles such as peas, beans, and sweetcorn in case they get trapped in the diver patch. Im on omeproxel taken when I need it, if I'm having a latish dinner to stop acid reflux. There is really no diet I have tried that works 100%. I used to love my cauliflower and broccoli, but there out of my diet now with runner beans and carrots as substitute. I gave up nasty pizzas Mcdonald and KFC 3 years now, and lost quite few pounds doing so. I do eat dairy for b12, but in small portions. I drink a lot of milk to keep my bones fairly healthy as I have bad arthritis in hips neck and thumb joints. My main problem is wind, which wakes me up at 5am. Its a false flag that my guts wants to go to loo. But I just let the wind out and settle back to sleep for an hour before I have to go, wind with its more than normal foul smell seems to be apparent with IBS and diverticular. Can empty a room in 30 seconds flat🙄Any sort of prep is a disaster with me. Photografin is the worst rt. Never again. I had red swollen ankles from that, and a fuzzy head. Let alone a churning tummy for 3 days after. Best of luck mike👍
They both contain active ingredient. Magracol. Just different generic brands. Could be additives upsetting you.
