Lactulose or Movicol?

I know this has been written about before, but which is best for Ibs c? I was put off lactulose before so have never tried it, as it apparently causes bad gas and pain (not sure if it contains lactose too), but now another doctor has suggested trying it. I use laxido (movicol), but not constantly. Still having problems. Has anyone tried lactulose successfully. It is apparently in little sachets now so can have as little as poss.

Hi,

I think, as in the case of any medication, what suits one person won't do the job for another; it really is a case of try it and see how it works for you. There is no 'best' remedy as one size never fits all.

My husband, for instance, swears by Movicol, 1 sachet taken every other day does him just fine, but all it used to do for me was make me bloat and have gas. I didn't get on with lactulose either and found Dulcolax did the job.

Just try small doses and see what happens.

Mago7, by aerobic life, look it up on Vitacost, Amazon, or aerobic life ...

Oxygenated larger magnesium, which does not enter your blood stream, no cramps, works everyday, u need to start slow, find ur own dose. If u are in UK, look up The Finchley Clinic, go to oxygenated products,.Stuff is the best thing I have ever found, will never be without it!

Good luck!🍀

Ok yes i did look this up the other day on google. It said it was a colon cleanser, and detoxifyer. Was not sure this was what i wanted, as just want for constipation, not a complete clearout. Also mentioned about losing weight which i definitely do not want to do, as underweight already! How do you use it?

It can be a colon cleanse, or a stool softener...it is the amount u take, which u have to figure out is best for you. So much nicer than that other junk, especially dulcolax, yuck...chemicals, that cramp...not good for you! Look up:. shopnhr.myshopify.com

Basically NHR. Scroll down to products, then pick brand, Aerobic Life,

I am buying some of their Oxygen drops manana...On the Mago7 bottle it says stool softener, look up a good picture and read it. Read the reviews everywhere, if any are bad, the people are not taking it correctly. Read up on it at the Finchley Clinic, I believe in the UK, look at oxygenated products, there is oxypowder too, never used that, it is just the same, but I have read mago7 is better. You can stay with these

old creepy things that make u feel worse, or get up and go, and be done. But you need to educate yourself very well as to why this is good. Diet pages do not like it, cause people do not loose weight! It is for constipation and cleansing out. Just do not take 5 capsules, I have never taken more than 3...and that was because I just had hemerrhoid banding, and needed stool to be very loose. All I can say is read up!

I am sleepy, late here!

My best, I hope whatever u choose works!

👍

I'm super glad the Mago7 works for you, but anything with magnesium is a disaster for me. Not sure I understand what you're referring to with the oxygen drops. Can you explain more please? Thank you.

This is not tyical magnesium, look up The finchley Clinic, find their info on oxygenated products...read their info, look up Shopnhr.myshopify, find aerobic Life products and call them, they will explain. It a larger molecule of magnesium that does not enter ur bloodstream. But if you can not have it, I truly feel sorry for you, conventional laxitives made me more sick, especially ducolax, senna, and the real crap miralax, I think in your country called moviacl?...it is tiny plastic pieces with anti freeze? Sorry tried that crap years ago a few times...horrible, days to go...sorry u can not take magnesium, this product really does work the best!. I am buying their Oxygen drops for my blood cells, just for maintenance health...to put oxygen in my blood cells, blood cells with oxygen can not get cancer...so I read? I guess I will see....not too soon, with all the pollution, viruses, ect...I do not think it will hurt, and I never take the full amount anything says!

Have a nice day!

Looks like it is possible that the Finchley Clinic is nothing but a scam artist trying to make money off of sick and miserable people. Shameful.

I guess you have quacks in every country!!! I just like their explanation of Mago7, which has been around for 20 years, and it works very well! If you choose something like movical which I think is similar to our miralax...this is plastic (Most likely tiny tiny granulated), along with propylene glycol, which is basically anti freeze. I have tried this twice, really really not good for me! I will not do lactulose, as I am dary free. I like the mago7, works like a charm, and what the Finchley Clinic says is true, call Aerobic Life, or look them up, ...Our Vitamin Shoppe in the USA would not sell it if it was not okay. I was unaware of the Finchley Clinic being underhanded, I agree that is wrong!

I am on my way out...but quickly and to tell u I spoke with arobic life re:

Oxygen product...also around for years, it is mainly for digestion..not what I thought...gonna get it anyway, their products are great!

I soak Golden Linseeds in water. About a dessert spoonful of Linseeds, roughly a 3rd of a mug of water and leave to soak 1/2 an hour to an hour. This works wonders for me.

Also, I purchase organic Linseeds in Holland & Barrett (UK).

Hi,

I find Dulcolax pico liquid works for me (absolutely nothing else does though). I take 2 spoonfuls at night. I tried Dulcolax tablets and they did nothing so definitely worth given the liquid a try.
