With IBS-C sometimes I am ok to jog but if I were to do any intense cardio or weight training my tummy feels worse?
Can anyone relate? if so what has helped you to feel better during exercise?

Drinking water, being free to pass gas. I find exercise relieves IBS-C. I also have Parkinson's
I have IBS-D mostly and have had an 'accident' after jogging, very embarassing. But have exercised for most of the past ten years and it is beneficial in a lot of ways. I would say stick to short runs for the start and do strength training such as small weights and stuff rather than long runs.. Strength training strengthens muscles which helps the body in so many ways. Good luck x
thank you for your feedback
hi I used to run 3/4 times a week but having bad ibs//diverticulitis attack due to immense stress at work ,running does make it worse when I am actually running feel like ive got a brick in my stomach and constant feeling of needed the loo ( no 2)
I have had colonoscopy and multiple medication but nothing works , I walked out of my job last Tuesday and what d ya know my symptoms are not as bad now, just been for a small run this morning and not as bad ,it could be stress ,however keep exercising ,I do more swimming now its not as intense on your tummy as advised by my gastro nurse
good luck but keep fit too
thank you for sharing... it helps!
Yes, it definitely exacerbates the pain with me. I would love to do more exercise but for me it's a big no no. Fortunately I can't eat too much with my IBS-C so I'm not overweight.
I have IBS-C and not much exercise wise bothers my stomach I've done loads of different things over the years but due to other issues I stick with swimming, Yoga type classes and weight classes. I found when I was jogging that my bowel would move more frequently but mine doesn't move much at all x
