I should mention that this only happens once every 6-9 months IF that. The reason I'm asking you guys is cos its so intermittent but so severe when it happens. Since I was about 18/19 I've had a pain that, without doubt, ONLY happens when I'm in a dead sleep. The scary thing is I think i remember having it one time when I was around 10. It came on after eating breakfast and I was keeled over for an hour and jerked a bit and the pain vanished. The pain is at a 8/10 (I've got a pretty high threshold) and it's made me burn up and feel nauseated. Fortunately, the last time I had it was July 2020. It tried again about 2 months ago, again whilst I was in a dead sleep but I moved a certain way and it vanished. My mum always said it was gas but absolutely not. This is the worst pain I've ever felt and its right in my belly button. I don't see a hernia when the pain comes but have read into diverticulitis. I've had a history of extremely bad stomach issues over the past 3/4 years and was very sick in 2019 with what seemed to be a diagnosis of IBD after taking antibiotics. I'm now experiencing ZERO symptoms and can eat whatever I want but have been concerned that the belly button pain is going to return when I move to a new city in two weeks. Anyone had this?
