Bubbling Feeling

I have IBS and also a haitus hernia. Over the last two weeks I have had a new symptom. To the left of my stomach and over my lower ribs i am getting bubbling feelings which are painless but disturbing. It feels a bit like the movements one gets in pregnancy! Has anyone else experienced this?

I get this feeling also, does it sometimes feel like a flipping feeling? Not been diagnosed with a hernia but looking at my symptoms I’ve thought it could possibly be that, do you get any other symptoms? Thanks

I don't know if I would describe it as flipping. It feels like something moving but not always at the same precise place. No pain but I have had slightly more burping. It is not all over my abdomen, only over the lower left rib area.

Yeah I’ve been getting burping quite a lot too, how was your hernia diagnosed?

Yes the hernia was diagnosed a few years back. I take pantoprazole for (similar to omeprazole) for the acid.

Reflux, gas, wind, pockets and tummy movements, gripping feelings, smelly stools, anxiety and feelings of wanting to clear your throat from time to time.

I have some of those but not all. I take pantoprazole for my haitus hernia so I expect that helps. I get very anxious about my health if I don't know what's wrong.

I’m guessing you’re had a endoscopy already as your been diagnosed.

Yes about five years ago.

Yes I too have this at the moment it’s a really strange feeling I get what you mean about pregnancy movement ! I get it by my waist as well sometimes i can wear anything to tight( so pleased joggers are in) 🤣 I’m taking peppermint at the moment to help and it seems to until I eat again 😩

how long did it take for your to go ?

the bubbling feeling has completely gone now. i did double the dose of pantoprazole for 2 weeks as my Dr advised. He thought it was a twitching nerve and I now think he was right about that.

Pleased you are all sorted Did you have it in the same place every time ? Mine seems to be across lower tummy and I’m very gassy at times and after eating

I have gp convo on Wednesday so hoping they might be able to help
