I have had IBS for many years but has got worse over the last year.
I keep experiencing the normal spasms but now and then i get a real strange movement almost like a baby kicking inside, obviously only you ladies would understand that.
Like a real prominant spasm.
Any input ?

Hi there, thats how I felt many years ago, it was the most odd feeling, I didn't connect it to ibs at all, so off I went for a scan, and nothing was found, fast forward 10years I can't even remember the last one I felt, I now believe it's all part of ibs, my gut felt very angry at that time, but I'm in a much less stressful situation now which I think does the trick, hope this helps , all the best.
Yes know where you are coming from. Thirty years ago when IBS 1st came into my life I had spasms which can only be described as a ferret running along my gut. Like Sunshineme777 after I had a barium scan which was clear that feeling disappeared, I think in my case anxiety got the better of me at the time.
If it's like a heart beat, pulse etc what you mean it may be magnesium deficiency, I had leg cramp, sciatica and other symptoms to from magnesium deficiency
Also I actually had to take a high quality magnesium supplements to start with as my deficiency was seriously bad, I found I had to take mine with food or it would cause symptoms. (But only foods i knew (from testing( that i definitely wasnt intolerant to)
Hi my ibs has got worse after tests at hosp said my muscles are very weak in bowel to get physio n doc has given me more Imodium and lopremide if that doesn't help she mentioned a stoma bag yikes at moment am trying to follow fod diet x
