This has been bothering me for a good few days now
Sore to press , and walking the dig it feels like it goes down to groin . I have diverticulitis or diverticulosis? I’m not sure of the right term . I have those pockets
I’ve once had antibiotics for side pain when it was infected he thought ? It’s not getting worse I don’t think . Does this happen occasionally? Thankyou

Hi purplewoman, I also have left sided pain which radiates to the groin, it is there all the time, like a dull ache that just won’t go away, I have divaticular disease and can often have flare ups. My doctor has put me opiate based painkillers which I must say works wonders and very little side effects. So after many tests, bloods, colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ultrasound and numerous medications it’s a case of trying to control it, which is very hard and exhausting. I’m sorry I have no answers for you, just wanted you to know your not alone with this, this site is amazing place to be, just reading others post or having a rant is so helpful. Be kind to yourself and take care
Thank you so much for the reply and I’m sorry you suffer daily I feel lucky by comparison 😞 I use a very hot water bottle and paracetamol and I walk my dog slowly when it’s bad
I was worried something was going to burst or something is stuck in the pockets ?

Hi warnout, glad you found this site, it has been a lifeline to me, I don’t think people understand what it like to suffer IBS and diverticula disease, it can be so debilitating and 😞 lonley. There are many wonderful people with inspiring post on this site, so you are definitely not alone. Take care
Hi, I have diverticular disease also and I get this often. Not much you can do but have a low residue diet and take it easy. Painkillers might help or a heat pad but it should go away on it's own. If you get a fever or the pain becomes constant please see you gp as it could turn into diverticulitis and may need antibiotics.
