Hi I’ve been dealing with lower abdominal bloating for the past few months and when I say it doesn’t go away...IT DOESNT GO AWAY. I’ve completely changed my diet to a whole food vegan and I exercise daily but I still wake up in the morning to my lower abdomen bloated and once I eat it looks like I’m carrying twin babies!!! I’m only 19 years old and the bloating has never caused me pain besides the uncomfortableness of my stomach extending. I don’t know what to do!! I just recently got told I should monitor my fiber intake and look at FODMAP. Anyone else have advice???

Why is my bloating not going away???
Heya!!
I get bloated all the time too. I find drinking water as I'm eating and also eating slowly so that my body isn't overwhelmed, helps sooo much, so you could try that. And avoid carbonated drinks and see if this akes any difference.
Also notice what foods make you bloated amd try either cut them out of your diet or find an alternative, but if you find that your bloatedness isn't shifting it may be worth going to the doctors.
I also suffer from regular and massive bloating. I follow the Fodmap diet slavishly. But re water...I have been told by several doctors NEVER to drink while eating, apart from tiny sips. In fact, drinking bloats me far more than eating, so I drink small amounts between meals, always a glass near me.
I am now trying exercises to help the bloating..

Why no water while eating?
Because, in my case, drinking seems to aggravate the bloating even more than eating. I can only take small sips at a time, between meals...I need to leave at least 30 minutes after eating before I can drink. Apparently it’s not that unusual but it’s very annoying!
I have recently had the same issue with bloating. And it's irritating to say the least. Do you have Gastritis? That is a main cause of bloating along with IBS. If you haven't already, I would ask for both an Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy. I know the Colonoscopies are horrible but they can knock you out! Both are important to get to the bottom of your issues.
I also suffered from extreme bloating and discomfort i use pepper mint oil capsules and probiotics, aloe Vera juice also helps to heal the gut and reduce bloating should be taken just before a meal.
Good luck and wish you well.
Keep a food diary. It's not abnormal for bloating to occur while changing your diet. Are you drinking enough water? Exercise just as simple as walking? If you have IBS, bloating is a major natural occurance. I would look to your doctor for a diagnosis and testing.. anything in that area being female could be stomach related and also gynecology related.
I used to get bloated but I introduced more ginger into my diet via daily capsules or tea and it works well for me.
It might be worth a try.
I hope you will be OK.
