I have constant bloating like I look like I’m pregnant. I’m going to the doctors on Monday does anyone take any tablets that help bloating?? I need this to go away it’s making me feel fat and gross. It’s getting me down and it’s uncomfortable.

I’m struggling with same thing I’m following the low FODMAP diet, take buscopan and mebeverine and I’m still looking nine months pregnant at the end of the day. So if you get any helpful suggestions I would be interested to.

I had these symptoms and tried everything had scans, blood everything all negative. I got a comprehensive stool analysis done privately and an organic acid test ( you can get this on the nhs) to test for leaky gut. The culprit in my case was pathogenic bacteria in my colon caused by low stomach acid and B12 deficiency. Good luck.

Hi, it’s a horrible feeling isn’t it?

I have suffered ibs for a lot of years taking fybogel & mebevrine, but it doesn’t help with bloating. I recently visited Holland & Barrat shop & asked for advice they recommended some tablets but it would be worse for a few days, it couldn’t possibly get any worse surly. So I didn’t go for tablets. Also suggested peppermint tea, oh my what a difference I drink about 4 cups a day it’s really refreshing and no bloating. I prefer Tetley or Sainsbury’s give it a try, fingers crossed you get some relief.

I’m exactly the same- nothing helped me! But options are: peppermint oil tablets, antispasmodics, peppermint tea, charcoal tablets, hot water bottles, very minimal eating (I tend to not eat after 7pm and then sleep and pray it will have gone by lunch time the next day) not loads of water, you can get chewy tablets that can help-called windeze! That’s about everything I’ve got😅 good luck

What’s tens machine?

It’s a machine which uses stimulation of the muscle groups by sending bursts of current and moving your muscles through a battery operated unit but it really works I have lost 2 inches since I started using my unit Gail

eat absolutely strict FODMAP and take 5-htp to enhance motility of the intestines. And pass gas and burp. Got to get the air out. It helped me.

Ok, so I get a lot of that bloating and yucky fat feeling too. A lot of the time it's acid belly for me or trapped wind and indigestion. However, I find that if I take a Pepcid AC, within 24 hours, everything releases and I feel a ton better. I can actually hear the gasses moving around. It might sound morbid, but I would much rather have constant diarrhea and an empty feeling/flatter tummy than the other way around. That's how bad mine gets. Other than that, eat really small meals, like half of what you normally eat. Get too much food in there at one time and it's bound to bloat, especially with our conditions. For me, all the fancy ways to deal with this just doesn't work. I STAY AWAY FROM ONIONS AND GARLIC! Those are huge triggers for me with the bloating and gassy belly. I have tried the FODMAP diet with no success and an empty wallet in the end. One last thought....you may be told not to eat Raisins/Cherries....but those are great ways to get the bloated gassy belly down as a last resort. You are bound to go potty and get cleaned out with those foods. I hope I don't sound horrible and it actually helps you. As the saying goes with this condition, every person is so different and we just have to find ways to deal. Good luck!
