Ive only suffered this for 1year but the pain and constipation is so bad I’m housebound most of the time . I’ve been given Constella 290 and been told ny doctors there is nothing they can do for me . Just diet and laxatives . Only been on this tablet 2weeks some days I have bad constipation , and other days the opposite. I take laxido if my constipation is badjust one sachet . Is any one else on Constella 290 . I’m 64 woman and have lost over 13kilos from being unable to eat much . I’m struggling to keep going . Any help or information would help . Nobody seems to be able to help .

Hello, So hard if you are housebound some of the time. Hope you can manage to get out if you do have any good or better days. I was diagnosed with diverticula disease several years ago. After a colonoscopy a couple of weeks ago I've been told my diverticula disease now affects most of my colon. IBSD too. Like you say, doctors say no cure but just try a few things. I don't think we have Constella here in the UK. Main recommendation seems to be fibre and I attempt to adjust the amount to try to achieve a balance. Easier said than done of course and what works on one day doesn't seem to on another. The only med I have for the pain is Buscopan which does seem to help.

I would like to hear from others on this site how they cope with diverticula disease.
