Constella

I was prescribed Constella (linzess) and it helped really well for a while. Now it seems to do nothing for me. Anyone else had this experience?

Because of my IBS C he has also put me on Constella which seem to have little side effects. I am told they will take a few days to work. Anyone else had same problems with Amitripyline.

I went to see a private gastroenterologist 10 days ago and he put me on constella because of the nerve pain I was getting at night which does seem to be helping although it is early days. However my constipation is as bad as ever only relieved by taking an enema each morning.

Hello all,after suffering IBSc (undiagnosed so labelled as IBSc) for a year now, trying lots of various meds and being hospitalised on numerous occasions I was prescribed linaclotide a couple of months back but held off on taking it as I'd had a few things switched around by my doc and I wanted to see

He said that I should better use linaclotide, a secretagogue (Constella/Linzess) (better transit/may lower abdominal pain/stimulates secretion of chloride/bicarbonate/water into the intestinal lumen) on a daily basis and maybe 1-3 times during the week bisacodyl 5mg, if still necessary.

Hi all Taking constella/linzess anyone here got acid reflux from this med If so what can you take to help

I was on constella 290 but doctor took me off that as I got low blood salts . But now pain is bad and wakes me up . Doctor has given me co codomol very low dose but it can make constipation worse . Any advice as to be honest it gets so hard to keep going . Sorry for long post 😊

Not changed my meds one sachet laxido at night and constella 290 in morning . I m in pain and feel a bit sicky . I did get put on a blood pressure tablet amlodipine 5mg ias well . Any advice . As doctors just say eat fruit veg and drink plenty . I asked to referred to see someone .

I take laxido everyday 1sachet sometimes 2 and constella 290 for the pain . Just don’t no what to do any more .😩

I do drink a lot as I’ve Diverticular and take 2laxido a day .plus on constella . I drink over 2litres of water plus herbal teas . I’m constipated or the opposite . Doctors are very little help plus I ended up with piles but got suppositories from doctor and they helped .

Only take constella 290 for pain . And laxido when needed . Just would like some feed back on it .thanks .

I take constella 290 and laxido one a day . But don’t no anything about this tablet doctor says I might have acid reflux but don’t get any burning . But throat and tongue are red sore and tingling . . Omeprazole 20 mg 1aday .. sore for long post

On constella 290 . And take 1sacket of laxido . Some times 2 . But still in a lot of pain . Phoned doctor and he has given me fybregel . As I’ve had all tests a came back clear . But suffer from diverticulitis and slow track bowel . I take probiotics .

I suffer from ibs-c and take laxido and constella 209 . . But some days a feel really weak and legs shaky . I only take 2laxido a day . And I constella . Drink plenty and eat small portions . Fed up going to docs and bloods come back boarderline on everything . . ☹️

If i stop the tablets I would be back to square one again #constella #ibs #constipations #bloating

I m on constella 290 ,one a day .

I take Constella (290mg) once a day, plus Cosmocol sachets. I was doing okay and actually going pretty regularly but the last 3 weeks or so have been dire. It's getting to the point I'm going 4/5 days sometimes without a BM. And then anytime I do open my bowels I'm in utter agony.

Sent home with buscopan and I’m on constella 290 . And laxido if I need it . . Just feel I’m fighting a losing battle. Pressure in my back passage and stomach bloated buscopan no help .just feel like giving up as can’t see it getting better .

I’m on constella 290 and laxido twice a day . They said to cut down on laxido. And eat more as I’ve lost so much weight . But scared to take buscopan in case it constipated me . Does anyone else take buscopan with slow track bowel and constipation .need advice and reassurance

I’ve noticed on forums that many people have tweaked their dose to 145mcg or 75 mcg to get it to work for them, but it seems Constella is only available as 290mcg, which is going to involve a lot of rejections of the drug since 290mcg may be too strong for some people.
