Sticky and difficult to pass stool

I have recently added Constella to my one and a half movicol sachet regime. (I have severe constipation). However my stools are now about a 5 on the Bristol Scale ie very sticky and small in size. Has anyone got any advice on this I eat a balanced diet.

I suggest a visit to your GP to get basic stool tests -this can tell you what the problem may be with your stools

An orange a day is good. Lots of water, exercise like waking every day, spinach for dinner.

I take Constella as well. I take it half an hour before food and within a few hours I am emptied completely. Even though they are loose stools which I don’t mind. Rather that than constipation. I take mine in the evening as I work in the day. You could try taking it closer to food as this makes it work better for me. Let me know if this helps.

Pat thank you for your reply. Do you take Constella with Movicol or just on its own?
