Hello,

Im a 34 year old healthy female that has been vomitting daily for the past 6 weeks.

It is hard for me to hold any food or liquid down. I can't really find a trend with my vomitting. Sometimes I go until about mid-late afternoon without vomitting (although feeling nauseous) and sometimes, like today, I couldn't stop vomitting all morning.

The vomitting is preceded by strong, forceful belching.

My stool and urine has been less frequent, but no diarreah or abnormal colors. I have no blood in the vomit or urine.

Color of the vomit is usually brown/yellow, but also depends on the food I had eaten.

I do get pain in my abdomen, right in the middle under the breast bone. Sometimes, it travels done to my right side, but still near the breastbone. Other times, it goes down between the breastbone and pelvis area.

I have an endoscopy scheduled, but as you can probably imagine, it is hard to wait to it and I am looking for some sort of answer or direction that can help me stop vomitting until I get the procedure done.

A list of tests I have done so far:

Three separate blood tests, all normal

CT "lite". From what I understand, this is without the liquid they inject and without the contrast. All normal.

Ultrasound. Normal.

Two X-rays. Both Normal.

Urine test. Normal.

EKG. Normal.

Latest round of tests were this past June 20th.

I have tried a number of different medication

Dimenhydrinate 50mg - no help

Zofran (Ondansetron) 4mg - no help

Domperidone 10mg - No help (not at the same time as the Zofran)

Pramin (Metoclopramide) 10mg - no help and made me feel awful. Will not take again.

Pantoprazole 40mg - no help (just makes my vomit less acidy)

Is there anything anybody can add that can help me?

So sorry to hear that you are suffering like this. Have you tried an elimination diet. Perhaps you have a food intolerance. Dairy is often the worst culprit. I wish you well.

How awful to be dealing with this not nice at all 😫

It could possibly be gastritis and only an endoscope would confirm this my dad had something similar he now has to follow a strict diet and avoid certain foods and alcohol he took lansoprozale too

Hope you get it sorted soon

With brownish/yellow being discharged, sounds like you have an infection. Try phoning triage nurse at your doctor's surgery. And seems that endoscopy is important to have. Good luck.

hi sorry your feeling like this, your symptoms sound a lot like mine, it took a few years to find a combination of medicines to manage the symptoms.

domperidone 6 10mg tablets per day, the health board have these classified under controlled medications as they increase risk of heat attack, they recomend only using for a week, stopping then 1 more week. ive been on them for four years but your gp needs to make any decision on long term use, one of the things they do is force your stomach to push food straight to digestive system so you dont have food laying in stomach.

diazepam and nitrazepam help with stomach cramps ect,

amitriptyline, these are not widely used here in uk but theyve shown to help severe ibs in the states, its a side effect of the drug that helps and its an antidepressant which can help with the state of mind. and a few other antacid type meds, my gp also prescribes me build up drinks and fortijuice for protien and such like.

talking to your gp about some of these may help,

hope you feel better soon
