Colestyramine

Has anyone tried this? I`ve seen a gastro-enterologist today who has prescribed it but said some people find it very unpalatable. I anxious about taking it incase it makes me feel sick

I have been taking Colstyramine for about three years and find it very helpful. I take one sachet before my main meal of the day - usually in the evening. I would not describe it as unpalatable - you merely mix the sachet with 200 ml. of water -wait a minute or two until it dissolves a bit, then mix it up and drink it quickly. It was recommended to me by Dr. Read.

Well - I`ve tried it for 2 days and felt so sick yesterday that I have decided to stop. Might try again when I am feeling better
